Create a large piece of art with a group of friends or colleagues
In this 3-hour workshop you will create a beautiful piece of art with a group of 6 to 8 persons. Inspired by a variety of flowers, you will first draw, then paint together on a large sheet of paper (size depending on the group size). With a special approach to the process, a wonderful, colorful and cohesive visual will arise.
Before you start on the actual art piece, you will be guided through a number of exercises, to loosen up, let go of perfection and get into a creative flow. These exercises are also effective to get the participants on board who say they’re not creative. In between the exercises and the creation of the actual piece of art, there will be a break with a drink and some bites.
The result
The finished artwork can be a gift to one person – for example, in case of a birthday celebration – or displayed in the workplace. Another option is to divide the final artwork into several pieces, allowing each participant to take a piece home as a lasting reminder of the communal painting experience.
What makes it so powerful
The process of drawing and painting together is designed in a way, that the whole piece is created by everyone. Every participant works on every part of the painting, which means you will add to other peoples work and they will contribute to what you’ve created. This way everybody is ‘forced’ to let go of perfection, and let the fun take over. It will motivate everybody to experiment, to trust others and enjoy the process.
